Strength Training Tips
DO:
- warm up before exercising to avoid injury
- exercise at least ____ times a week
- exhale during hardest part of the exercise
- take short rests between sets
- take longer rests between exercises
- use slow steady movements to lift weights
- hold weighted objects firmly, not tightly.
DON'T:
- begin weight program without your doctor's OK
- grip weights too tightly
- use weights to increase cardiac response
- hold your breath!
